We design solutions for every solar project

We experienced the closure of coal mines, and Gardanne’s ambition is to become a positive energy city with no greenhouse gas emissions. With the biogas from the municipal landfill, we are already producing electricity. The second project involved using the slag heaps from former mines to install a ground-mounted solar plant. My philosophy is simple: all human activity causes pollution, so we must manage both aspects of the problem—activity and pollution. I received no negative feedback; there are no neighbors, nothing in that area. Urbasolar managed the constraints related to the specifics of the soil well, as it is land where nothing can be excavated. Photovoltaics is growing, and that’s a good thing.

We delivered a decontaminated site to Urbasolar, which took over with earthworks, clearing, and, of course, the construction of the photovoltaic plant. Honestly, with Urbasolar, it went very well. Urbasolar, from start to finish, at all stages of the exchanges, it’s quality professionalism. They are very thorough in their approach; it’s serious and friendly. We must continue the development of renewable energies, and there is enough technical progress to solve the problems of production intermittency.

Our commitments to sustainable development are among the group’s core values. As part of the construction of our logistics platform in Albon, we collaborated with Urbasolar early in the project to equip the 23,000 m² rooftop with solar panels, thereby reducing our carbon footprint.
For BeRT&YOU®, partnering with Urbasolar meant choosing a reliable and recognized partner capable of supporting us in our CSR approach and interactions with various project stakeholders (SDIS, DREAL, municipalities, etc.). This first collaboration continued with the construction of a second platform equipped with a solar plant in St. Gilles, Gard. These two solar installations allow us to enhance our buildings and strengthen our CSR policy.
