2. Purposes of Personal Data Processing

2.1. Browsing Our Site

2.1.1. Connection Data

When you visit the Site, technical data is collected. This data includes your IP address or that of your Internet service provider, the homepage (the website from which you accessed our Site), the type of browser, the operating system and platform, the pages visited under WWW.URBASOLAR.COM, as well as the time and date of access (referred to as “Connection Data”). Connection Data is automatically recorded in log files for a duration of one year. We process this Connection Data to improve the Site, particularly to analyze how visitors use the Site. Connection Data is also analyzed for statistical purposes and for internal measures related to security and quality improvement.

2.1.2. Cookies

The Site also uses cookies to track usage of the Site. Cookies are small data files that a web portal places on your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you visit the Site. By using cookies, the Site can “remember” certain entries and settings (e.g., login, language, font size, and other preferences) for a certain period, so you do not have to re-enter these settings when you revisit the Site. We use cookies on the Site to analyze Site usage. Some of the videos embedded in our web pages also use cookies to generate anonymous statistics regarding previously visited pages and videos viewed. The information collected using cookies is not used to identify you, and cookies are solely intended to pursue the purposes described in this privacy policy. The cookies placed by Urbasolar on the Site fall into two categories:
  • “Strictly Necessary” trackers, which do not require your prior consent but are essential for the technical operation of the Site,
  • Other trackers subject to your prior consent.
You can configure cookies at any time during your visit to our Site via our cookie management module at the bottom left. You can also block or delete cookies in your web browser. You can visit aboutcookies.org for more information. You can delete all cookies from your computer and set most browsers to refuse cookies. However, you may need to manually adjust certain settings each time you access a web page, which may degrade some functionalities. Some analytical tools are used for analyzing usage data (connection data) to identify trends and improve our online services. Therefore, the data is processed not only by Urbasolar but also by the providers of these tools on behalf of Urbasolar, who are Urbasolar’s subcontractors (Ashil, 17 rue d’Hauteville 75010 Paris). The providers process this information to analyze your use of the Site, generate reports on Site activities, and provide additional services related to the Site and Internet usage. Providers may also disclose this information to third parties under a legal obligation or when third parties process this data on behalf of the providers. The IP address transmitted by your browser is not combined with other data processed by these respective providers.
