Industrial and Logistics Players: Enhance Your Assets with Photovoltaics
Our objective: supporting your decarbonization efforts
We work alongside all players who wish to engage in the energy transition and contribute to the production of more sustainable energy. Whether you are a real estate developer, property owner, investor, builder, real estate operator, industrialist, or transporter/logistician, we assist you in solarizing your real estate assets or land.
Aware of the energy challenges faced by industrial and logistics players, we help you:
Comply with current regulations
Various laws have governed the development and installation of photovoltaics on buildings, parking lots, land, and water bodies since 2019. The 2021 Climate and Resilience Law reinforced the obligation, established two years earlier, to install renewable energy systems, such as solar panels, on new or renovated commercial and industrial buildings larger than 500 m².
Recently, the implementing decree of the 2023 Renewable Energy Acceleration Law clarified the conditions for mandatory solarization, covering both new and existing buildings and parking lots, providing a favorable framework for photovoltaic energy development.
Improve your certification level with photovoltaics
- BEPOS (Positive Energy Building): A building that produces more energy (thermal or electrical) than it consumes.
- BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method): A European standard for environmental buildings. The ENERGY component accounts for 19% of the total score, and photovoltaics alone contributes 40% of the ENERGY score, or 7.5% of the total score.
- HQE (High Environmental Quality): A French certification aimed at minimizing a building’s environmental impact, from design to usage. The ENERGY component accounts for 35% of the total score for the “Very High Performance” level, and photovoltaics alone contributes 15% of the total score.
Whatever the nature of your activity or assets, photovoltaics is the ideal energy solution to combine sustainable commitment with land profitability.

Why work with us ?
- Sector Expertise: As a member of Afilog, we have an in-depth understanding of the specific challenges in the logistics and industrial sectors.
- Tailored Solutions: We adapt our solutions to your needs, taking into account the technical and environmental constraints of your project.
- Comprehensive Support: From feasibility studies to maintenance, we support you at every key stage throughout the solar plant’s lifecycle.
- Expertise Beyond Photovoltaics: We manage urban planning, environmental, and technical constraints. We help clients meet technical specifications for “PV Ready” roof designs, obtain environmental certifications, and address the requirements of other stakeholders, such as insurers, Fire and Rescue Services (SDIS), and Regional Environmental, Development, and Housing Authorities (DREAL).
What sites can host a Photovoltaic Plant?
Buildings:
We assess the solarization potential of your building, either during the project stage (on plans) or as part of renovation work. We help optimize your building’s structural quality (framework, waterproofing) to make it “PV ready,” ready to host a rooftop solar plant.
Parking Lots:
All existing parking lots larger than 1,500 m² and new parking lots over 500 m² must, within three years, be equipped with photovoltaic canopies covering at least half their surface! We work with you to ensure compliance by defining a solar project tailored to your site while maintaining uninterrupted operations during construction and operation phases. Our technologies are suitable for both light vehicle and heavy vehicle parking lots.
Land and Water Bodies:
Our teams, mobilized across the territory, are ready to transform industrial wastelands into green electricity production sites. With our in-house design office, we can optimize your site’s solar potential for maximum annual production.
Advantages of solar for industrial and logistics sectors
Solarizing your buildings, parking lots, land, or water bodies offers a real opportunity to:
- Enhance and modernize a real estate asset, turning it from a cost center into a revenue source.
- Transform operating expenses into revenue streams.
- Achieve higher environmental certification levels (BEPOS, HQE, BREEAM).
- Communicate your commitment to sustainable development and renewable energy, aligning with your CSR goals.
- Prepare your site for energy self-consumption.
- Contribute to meeting regulatory framework objectives.
- Increase fiscal benefits from photovoltaics for local authorities (municipalities, inter-municipalities, departments).
They trust us
Our commitments to sustainable development are among the group’s core values. As part of the construction of our logistics platform in Albon, we collaborated with Urbasolar early in the project to equip the 23,000 m² rooftop with solar panels, thereby reducing our carbon footprint.
For BeRT&YOU®, partnering with Urbasolar meant choosing a reliable and recognized partner capable of supporting us in our CSR approach and interactions with various project stakeholders (SDIS, DREAL, municipalities, etc.). This first collaboration continued with the construction of a second platform equipped with a solar plant in St. Gilles, Gard. These two solar installations allow us to enhance our buildings and strengthen our CSR policy.
