Achieving Your Decarbonization Goals

Photovoltaics, a responsible and sustainable energy

The 2019 Energy and Climate Law sets a target of 33% renewable energy (RE) in the gross final energy consumption in France by 2030. In 2023, this share was 22.2%. Achieving this goal requires significant efforts to promote renewable energy and gradually reduce the use of fossil fuels.

To achieve this, photovoltaic solutions are essential. Efficient, competitive, suitable for all sectors, and quick to install, they are an indispensable tool for meeting RE targets and effectively combating climate change. Engaging in a photovoltaic project means adopting a responsible approach not only toward energy but also toward society. These projects can thus integrate into a company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and anticipate the objectives of the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in its environmental component of climate change mitigation and adaptation.

This regulation, applicable since January 1, 2024, establishes new standards and obligations for non-financial reporting for large companies and publicly listed SMEs, aiming to encourage sustainable corporate development.

Whether to comply with the RE Law or achieve CSR and carbon neutrality policy objectives, photovoltaic solar energy contributes to this trajectory.

Why decarbonize your activity?

Installing a photovoltaic system on your site helps you achieve your decarbonization goals. By contributing to the production of renewable electricity, you support local energy production, thereby reducing CO2 emissions and minimizing your carbon footprint. This also allows you to:

  • Earn points in environmental rating systems: A photovoltaic installation can earn you up to 7.5 additional points, improving your environmental performance scores and helping you obtain certain certifications.
  • Comply with Scope 1 of CSR: Photovoltaic installations help meet Scope 1 (direct emissions) requirements of corporate social responsibility by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Transition to self-consumption: By consuming the electricity you produce, you can significantly reduce your energy costs and ensure independence from energy price fluctuations in the market.
  • Support local RE objectives: Installing a photovoltaic plant is not only a profitable long-term investment but also a strong gesture toward energy transition and environmental responsibility. It secures your energy supply and demonstrates your tangible commitment to a sustainable future.
