This immersive wildlife park dedicated to nature conservation is continuing its commitment to sustainable development by installing solar-powered shade structures in its parking lot.

Located in Crécy-la-Chapelle, 30 minutes from Paris, Parrot World is known for its unique mission: to raise awareness about and protect South American species in a natural, environmentally friendly setting.

It is in this context that the park sought to further its commitment by installing photovoltaic shade structures in its visitor parking lot.

For this project, Parrot World chose to partner with Urbasolar, a photovoltaic energy producer with extensive technical and logistical experience in the construction of solar installations at leisure parks.

Work, which began in December 2025, is expected to be completed in the summer of 2026.

“Urbasolar has a number of projects in the leisure sector to its credit. Our understanding of the constraints and our technical expertise allow us to support clients like Parrot World in the energy transition while maintaining the site’s ongoing operations. We are very proud to count Parrot World among our references. ”

The solar shade structures will cover 1.5 hectares, or approximately 53% of the parking lot, with a capacity of 3.5 MWp. The annual production of approximately 4 GWh of green electricity corresponds to the electricity consumption of 1,880 people and will save 62.5 tons of CO2.

In addition to producing green and sustainable energy on-site, the shaded parking spaces will also enhance user comfort during periods of extreme heat or rain.
